About

Kristina L. Kristoffersen is a Danish artist whose practice is rooted in the remote, protected landscapes of Northern Jutland, near the threshold of Mariager Fjord. Her work is shaped by the elemental presence of Nordic nature, Norse mythology, and a long-standing engagement with both sonic and visual expression.

Dividing her life between Denmark and Germany, Kristoffersen's transnational background has shaped her artistic language with a dual sensibility—anchored in Scandinavian heritage while responsive to the experimental impulses of Germany’s electronic and avant-garde music scenes. As a teenager, she signed with Sony BMG Germany, initiating a career in performance and production that has spanned a range of contexts, from large-scale venues to alternative and site-specific environments including sounddesign for Nintendo and Deutsche Telecom.

Kristoffersen has presented work at diverse venues across Europe, including Berlin’s Olympiastadion, BMW Park Munich, Nürburgring, and London’s Islington Assembly Hall.

Since 2013, she has taught vocal practice and served as a coach in artistic development, breath work, and vocal anatomy for various music schools and institutions. In addition to her academic teaching, she works as a freelance vocal coach, supporting artists in developing their voice, performance technique, and creative direction.

A fervent advocate for artistic hybridity, Kristoffersen has continually traversed genre and format—performing within Germany’s underground techno movement, alternative festivals, and intimate site-specific spaces. Her creative aliases, including the indie-spirited Spurv Lærke, the electro-poetic MONOGIRL, and long-standing partnership with producer Flug 8 (Daniel Herrmann), reflect a commitment to exploring the intersections of music, myth, and modernity.

Currently, Kristoffersen is engaged in the duo project Herrmann Kristoffersen, and developing Elleve—a side project exploring sound through installation, meditative and mythical approaches, and tactile sonic practices such as foley and ASMR.

Entirely self-taught, Kristoffersen’s work reflects a commitment to independent exploration across disciplines. She communicates fluently in Danish, German, and English, and continues to cultivate a hybrid practice that moves between composition, performance, and immersive sonic environments.

Since 2024, Kristoffersen holds the title Bachelor of Music (BMus Electronic Sound and Music) from the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark.
